World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.
For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before a component can be used. Unlike More hints , upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of an item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve after a future reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a substantial risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Glyphs

In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your equipment is to use Glyphs. Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets advanced in level.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. item upgrades will also have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not require it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to be able to do so. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or swims like dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is highly important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrader for items allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
