Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item that can make certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc and is sometimes given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools in order to raise their item level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, dependent on the type of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to offer attribute bonuses or additional effects while the equipment is being used. Upgrade components are only available on equipment with an upgrade slot available. Most upgrade components also require that the item to be upgraded is above a certain level. Certain upgrade items also come with special effects when they are added to an item. Upgrade components are available through crafting, bought from Karma merchants, or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and used as rewards.
There are different upgrade components, each of which comes with a different bonus. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions, can be used on any kind of equipment, and offer lower bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions are able to be used on non-amulet or legendary ascended items, while enhancements can be utilized on certain back equipment that is ascended. Inserting an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be inserted in gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias and enchantments will display their name in the item's hover display, while prefix and suffix upgrades will add their name to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g., a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will show the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to add decorative and functional elements to an OpenType font. These include ligatures and fractions, as well as ornaments, as well registered trademark symbols such as ellipses, swashes, and swashes. The Glyphs panel lets you see and insert these particular characters, as well as regular glyphs like em dashes and en dashes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph provides an initial boost to the stats of the character. The glyph can also have up to four secondary stats that influence its radius on your Paragon Board. You can level up Glyphs by completing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon, the higher the amount of Glyph experience you'll get. Once a Glyph has reached the level 15 it can be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
Once a Glyph has reached the desired level you can activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting glyph will provide its stated benefit and also boost the other nodes that are within its radius on the Paragon Board. It is important to place glyphs where they will be most beneficial to your build, and that is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Some glyphs, however, may offer dual bonuses when certain conditions are satisfied and therefore are worth checking out for.
Click the cycle widget to change the perspective of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views shows the Glyphs in different fonts. You can narrow down the list of glyphs by choosing an option beneath "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols restricts the selection to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a process in which you create a new account to give yourself more chances to play an item or character you are interested in. This can be done to help you level up faster or to gain better loot, like an improved weapon for your character. Many players roll again until they find the characters they like regardless of their strength. It could be that they like the design or personality of the character.
When you reroll, it is important to ensure that the changes you are making are clean. You should verify locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a Core dev test. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue using a plain diff (see What is an interdiff? ).
Rerolls can take a few days or weeks depending on how fortunate you are. To save time avoid enemy camps that are optional during this time. Also, avoid repeating quests that can be completed later on in the game. This will save you time and energy.
Another crucial aspect to remember when rerolling is making sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are many ways to boost your character's power and appearance. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. Additionally, it is important to know the limitations of the upgrade system.
Rerolling isn't a necessity however it can be a way to increase the chances of acquiring the right character or weapon. It can be used to determine which character is the best or to play around with different playstyles and builds.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects with common-2 attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of the class). Sets can be used for operations like union, intersection and distinction.
Upgrades can make a set better than before. For armor and weapons this means it will gain a higher base defense value, a lower strength requirement and an lower requirement for level.
Upgrades can bring items that are popular from single sets to parity with items in higher-level sets. For item upgrade upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to an Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 and reduces the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in the set can be upgraded. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff are already Elite and Exceptional in their own right and don't require any upgrades. Some items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are used frequently may benefit from an upgrade to increase their value. For these kinds of items, it may be worth the cost to upp them.
