WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are enchantments and items that can be incorporated into armor and weapons, increasing their power. These upgrade item s increase the gauge of an item by a specified number of points. Their cost increases depending on their rarity.
The melee PvP scene is extremely reliant on the perfect roll of armor due to its ability reduce weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential part of the equipment crafting process. They can improve the quality of an item and make it stronger or weaker, and even add an added benefit. They also affect the item's appearance. Some upgrades are universal, whereas others are governed by specific rules for weapons and armor. Making the wrong upgrade could ruin a great weapon, and may even lead to it becoming unusable.
In general, you can only upgrade an item of equipment to the level of its most advanced counterpart. You are able to upgrade helms only to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded to the equivalent level of a sword. However, this doesn't boost the weapon's damage output and could decrease its value in trade.
To upgrade an item you need to spend flightstones and crests. The amount of both depends on the item level and slot. For instance upgrading a sword will cost more flightstones than an upgrade to a cloak or bracers. You can also get discounts on the number of crests and flightstones needed to upgrade an item.
Upgrading an item fills up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases Tier level by one-third. Tier 3 is the highest level. It may take different upgrades to get to this level, depending on the item. It is important to remember that any procedure that could be used to mount a disk must not be running during the process of upgrading. It is also important to ensure that the disk you are upgrading is not being used as an operating system drive.
Enchantment is a feature which lets you transform white or Common items into blue or rare ones. Eleanor's Enchantment Shop located in the Capital District is where you can do this. This process does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment however it does alter its size. It increases the size of the equipment by the size two categories smaller. For example, the size of a Stormtrooper armor is Medium, and Blaster Pistol Small.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be utilized on any type of equipment. This includes armor and weapons. The upgrade components are typically random, but they can also be gathered through side quests. Universal upgrades can be either temporary or permanent, and they can overlap with Power Ups. They can be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades begin when "internal technology" can give sentient beings new capabilities that are extremely unlikely to develop in natural ways. Implants and prostheses are examples of internal technology. This kind of improvement is not the same as medical internal technology which seeks to restore the natural capabilities. It's the beginning of the process that will alter civilizations fundamentally. The universal upgrade can be a lengthy and complex process. However the process is divided into two distinct categories: complete success and partial failure.
Similar to the way that resort upgrades function at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW, this is usually due to operational requirements such as availability of rooms or overbooking. In the case of Universal the reason could be to transfer guests from one resort to another that is open. This is not meant as an insult however in the current economic climate, it could be difficult to avoid.
Contrary to Runes, Sigils and Jewels, which are only applicable to certain types of equipment (armor weapons, trinkets or weapons), universal upgrades can be applied to any equipment. They can also be applied to a variety of items at once. They are therefore more flexible than other types of upgrades. This flexibility can be a problem when upgrading items on the same gear path. It can raise the levels of each of the pieces along the route.
Before performing an upgrade, it is essential to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the existing application files. Jewels

Jewels can also been made at a table for jewelry using one gem and five of the same type of ingredients to create a jewel that is of a lower or higher tier; this process is identical to upgrading a gem using the use of a gemcrafting table.
Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they possess which means that higher-tier jewels have more than lower-tier ones. The primary effect of a gemstone is determined by the tier it is in, and the secondary effect is randomly generated players can use luck potions to increase the chance of obtaining better secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components jewels can be inserted into an item using an appropriate socket to increase it. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost strength but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's ability to strike with force. Jewels can be found in all weapon, armor and accessory slots. They also work with some exotic trinkets or lower rarity trinkets that require slots.
Like other DM mechanics, gems aid to ensure that items feel special to their owners. Through offering a variety of upgrade options jewels let players alter their equipment to find the best combination for their needs. They can even upgrade their existing equipment using new jewels in the event that the original set of a given kind isn't working anymore.
Requirements
The item upgrades in WoW allows players to increase the item level of weapons, equipment and trinkets above their current level of item using specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor resources. These upgrades increase item stats and some even have special effects. (For instance Dolphin's grace gives swimmers a dolphin-like grace). These upgrades can be obtained by upgrading the item or by salvaging it. Different items drop different upgrade components.
The upgrade process can be a bit difficult however, it's not difficult. First, the player picks the item they wish to upgrade and then click the Upgrade button. A window will pop up showing the various upgrades available for the item. The window will display the upgrade level, any type of upgrade bonus (such as Tech Points or Quality Chance) and the cost of the upgrade. The upgrade level is displayed in an upper bar on the top of the screen and the type bonus for upgrading is displayed below it.
If the player decides to upgrade their item the item will be taken to the upgrader NPC who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player will then have to provide the appropriate currency to make the upgrade, and may be asked to provide additional materials should they require it. These requirements are based on the level with weapons generally having stricter requirements than armor.
Many upgrade recipes contain an acceptable material list in addition to the components required. This list outlines what other upgrade components can be used on the item, and also includes a flag that indicates whether the item has a guaranteed boost or extra effect. This is crucial because the value of an upgrade could vary greatly depending on its "extras.' For example an item that is properly rolled could be worth more than the non-upgraded version.
The list of upgrades that require crests or valorstones will be shown separately below the main list. The number of crests and valorstones required depends on the item's level. Upgrades to weapons require the most Valorstones.
